Dr Duscher et al published in the Journal of Translational Medicine that suctioned fat has mesynchymal stem cells. Duscher et al further show that the suction process does not hinder the regenerative potential of the stem cells. This is exciting news, because it states that we can harvest large amounts of stem cells through a relatively simple technique. This technique that is routinely used preserves the regenerative potential of theses cells, allowing them to become other tissue, like muscle or bone or nerve under the right chemical guidance.
